Feeder found splat in the middle of the onion bed. Seeds all over the place so no doubt the onions and garlic will be sharing with some new neighbours soon !
Strategic pots saved the day and no further damage done to the g/h.
There's a clear blue sky so out I go with screwdriver and spanner in hand to make some repairs. At least it wasn't the glass g/h that took the hit.

Now then, howzabout this for an idea to protect your plassy g/house during the gales AND have something that will double as a seedbed/plantlet protector in the spring.....hmmm?..interested??
So what I'm thinking is this....to cut the wind damage to the plassy you need to shield it - and what better idea than to make some removable frames from lengths of fine metal mesh (not the sort that's sold in rolls, but the more rigid stuff that Wilko's were selling in lengths & I bet that B&Q etc. do it too)..length of this get stapled onto wooden battens & fixed (dunno how yet, haven't figured that one out) to the outside of the placcy house.Come the spring these can be used propped up on some bricks over your veggie beds to protect them from marauding cats or magpies.
So, go on...pick the flies out of that for a brill idea then!
btw....gonna do the same as a permanent summer greenhouse shading.....thinking sweet peas/peas/chilean vine in troughs....
Hectic week KP/ Hope weekend went well and you weren't blown off course on your flight. Pretty windy here but luckily no damage here.
Lish, when you figure it out let me know aye ??
